Spring fever at Kane

Even though it was chilly, the sun was shining both days at the Kane County Flea Market this past weekend.

Judy and I set up our tent frames inside and made a burlap wall, creating a defined space to show our goods.  We included lots of fresh tulips and green plants to give our booth a touch of Spring!

Tulips are my absolute favorite flower. Big bunches of tulips just shout SPRING!

This fluffy feathered Phyllis Diller style hat got lots of compliments, but no one selected it as their Easter bonnet.

Judy sewed up some wonderful pillows from these authentic old sacks.

This old tin-headed dolly has probably heard lots of dreams....

Fabulous graphics on these old homemaker magazines...

Great patina on this old stool

Judy slipcovered this footstool, which I was THRILLED to buy for my living room. How awesome to pull off the slipcover and throw it in the wash! She might have another one next month...

Vintage owl bank prompted several questions of "How would I get the money out?"

The lucky buyer of this fabulous Venus de Milo statue had a matching tattoo on her arm.
Destined to own it.

A basketful of sunshine.

Lots of repurposing ideas for this stainless steel laundry cart, from bar cart to patio grill accessory.
It went to a happy new home Sunday morning.

We are back to gathering for the next Kane show in April.

You won;t want to miss it. All our Iowa dealer friends will join us in our usual spots OUTSIDE.
